Music Learning Center celebrates 25 years with concert and celebration at WCSU on October 13

The Music Learning Center celebrates 25 years of music education to students in the Greater Danbury area with a full concert and celebration.

Performances will be by members of the teaching staff that have extensive experience as soloists, in chamber ensembles, and combos.  The program will feature six different vocalists as well as several faculty-led ensembles and bands, including:  the M.L.C. Faculty Jazz Band, the Candlewood Flute Quartet, a bluegrass band, a rhythm & blues combo, and more.   The concert will take place on October 13th, 7:30pm at Western Connecticut State University’s Visual and Performing Arts Center.  Proceeds from the concert will benefit Dream Come True of Western Connecticut.

For many students and their families, music education is a priority, and they continue to look to the Music Learning Center for its quality programming and services. “We’re proud of being part of a community where music education is valued.  In many cases, music continues to be part of our student’s lives long after a formal education, “says Jeff McGill, Director of the Music Learning Center. “Our 25th Anniversary Concert Celebration is the culmination of more than two decades of teaching music, and we’re very pleased to donate 100% of the concert’s proceeds to Dream Come True in honor of that service.”

Tickets to the Music Learning Center’s 25th Anniversary Celebration: Faculty and Friends Concert may be purchased by going to www.bit.ly/MLC-25thAnniversary. The concert is sponsored by Southridge technology, LLC.
