Danbury Library to offer classes in Adobe Photoshop

The Danbury Library has announced it will offer three programs to introduce Adobe Photoshop, a photo and graphics editing computer program, to nonusers as well as to offer some tips and tricks to those who are already acquainted with this valuable graphics tool.  These hands-on classes, conducted in the Libary's computer lab, will begin with "Photoshop for Beginners" on Wednesday, October 24th. Participants will learn to open an image or photo, resize and crop it, add text to a photo, use the color and sharpening tools, and create a PDF from an image.

The "Photoshop for the Holidays" workshop on Wednesday, October 31 will provide the essential tools and techniques to create holiday cards using family photos or artwork. Registrants need to bring along their photos or artwork on a USB storage drive.

The final workshop, "Photoshop Advanced," on Wednesday, November 7 will expand upon the beginner workshop by providing additional helpful tips and tricks and registrants can also submit small projects and tasks they would like to know how to complete by emailing rwallacephotography@gmail.com.

All of the workshops are free and held from 10:30am to 12:30pm in the Library's Computer Lab. Due to limited space, registration is required online at danburylibrary.org, click on 'View Calendar" or call 203-797-4505, option 4.

For additional information contact Sondra Grossi, 203-797-4505, ext 7733.  The Danbury Library is located at 170 Main Street, Danbury, CT.
