The Reluctant Dragon Puppet Show to Delight Children in December at Danbury Library

The Danbury Library will host a puppet show, “The Reluctant Dragon”, performed by  Lionheart Puppets from Vernon, Connecticut, on Thursday, December 20th from 5:30-6:15pm.  The show is suitable for children ages 4-12 and their families.

Based on the classic tale by Kenneth Grahame, “The Reluctant Dragon” is the story of Harold, a young village boy, who discovers a dragon living in the nearby mountains. What happens next?  Can Harold convince the villagers that the dragon just wants to be friends?  Come to the show and find out!

“The Reluctant Dragon” introduces children to literary adaptations, as well as loyalty and the arts, and includes a puppet demonstration and discussion following the show.

The program is free of charge.  No registration, just come and enjoy!   In the event of bad weather, the performance will be postponed to Sunday, December 30 at 2pm.  The program is sponsored by the FRIENDS of the Danbury Library.
