Monthly Critique Group for Writers to continue into 2019 at the Danbury Library

The Danbury Library is pleased to announce the continuation of its "Writers' Critique Group" in 2019.  The group will meet monthly to continue its goal of providing a friendly peer response opportunity for local writers of all skill levels and genres. Participants will offer insightful observations, support and guidance to improve each other's written work.  Upcoming sessions will be held in the Library's Technology Center Conference Room from 2-4pm on February 16, March 16, April 20 and May 18.

For the meeting process, each participant brings along five copies of the piece they plan to present to the group and reads aloud a 5-minute segment of the work. The other participants give reactions and guidance to make the work more interesting, more understandable or more grammatically correct. The meetings are facilitated by Danbury Library volunteer Serena Twombly, a local fiction author, and technical writer.

All programs are free of charge. Seating is limited. Registration is required for each session online at danburylibrary.org, click on "View Calendar" and the dates you would like to attend or call 203-797-4505, option 3.

The Danbury Library is located at 170 Main Street, Danbury, CT.
