Pathways to Happiness at Danbury Library on Thursday, May 9 from 5:45 - 6:45pm

Rabbi Laurie Gold will explore paths to happiness, including practicing forgiveness, gratitude, and meditation. She will also discuss some of the scientific, sociological and spiritual underpinnings of joy. The presentation is open to everyone but well-suited for adults and teenagers and is non-denominational. 

About the presenter: Rabbi Laurie Gold is the rabbi of Temple Beth Elohim in Brewster, New York. Prior to becoming a rabbi, Laurie was a trial attorney, specializing in tort defense. Before joining Temple Beth Elohim, she was a chaplain at several nursing homes in New York City and a guest rabbi on cruises. She has taught at Queensborough Community College, churches, synagogues and senior centers. Rabbi Gold earned a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Michigan, a J.D. from Hofstra School of Law, and a Rabbinic Degree from the Academy of Jewish Religion.
