Annual Light the Lights in Danbury is set for Saturday, December 7th

CityCenter Danbury will kick off the holiday season with the annual Light the Lights celebration on Saturday, December 7th, 2019 from 5pm-7pm. Residents are invited to the Danbury Library Plaza located at 170 Main Street for a holiday celebration with hot cocoa and cookies for the kids and plenty of holiday entertainment.

Mayor Boughton will flip the switch to light up the downtown streetscape with over 20,000 twinkling lights, signaling the start of the holiday season. Area firehouses will take part in the 5th annual fire truck parade down Main Street, and Santa will be making a special appearance. Children can visit Santa on the Library Plaza after the fire truck parade commences. "We are excited to invite Danbury families to join us downtown once again for the Light the Lights festivities,” said Mayor Mark Boughton. “Thank you to our partners and sponsors for allowing us to provide this free and fun, family event. We hope to see you downtown!"

The annual lighted fire truck parade is scheduled to begin at 5:30pm. This is a free event thanks to generous support from Eversource Energy and the City of Danbury. For more information, contact Angela @ CityCenter Danbury at (203) 792-1711.
