Sip & Sculpt evening at WCSU pairs art with wine and refreshments

‘Guests of all artistic levels invited to participate in March 13 event    

 An entertaining and creative evening that pairs the experience of sculpting artistic work in clay with enjoyment of wine and refreshments will be offered in the “Sip and Sculpt” event to be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 13, at Western Connecticut State University.

Participants of all skill levels will be guided by an experienced artist in clay hand-building techniques to sculpt an original work. The shared creative evening, open to the public, also will feature music, wine and assorted snacks. The program will be in the Sculpture Studio, Room 248 of the WCSU Visual and Performing Arts Center on the university’s Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury.

The admission fee of $25 includes refreshments and all necessary art materials. Admission to the event is open to adults 21 years of age and older; tickets may be purchased online at www.wcsuvpac.eventbrite.com. The “Sip and Sculpt” event is sponsored by the Department of Art and the Danbury Cultural Commission.
