Could Mobile Voting Strengthen Our Democracy? Join Danbury Author John Patrick for Free Webinar on Sept. 30

Join Danbury resident, author, and Internet pioneer, John Patrick for a timely (and free) webinar about the future of elections on Wednesday, September 30, at 7pm.  Patrick will be discussing how the future of elections in the United States could be much brighter than what we are currently facing.

Patrick explains, "In research for my book, Election Attitude – How Internet Voting Leads to a Stronger Democracy, I learned a lot about the American election system. It is not a pretty picture. In 2016, 100 million could have voted but did not. Millions of votes are thrown out because of mistakes with the ancient paper ballot system."

The Zoom webinar is sponsored by the Danbury, Connecticut Public Library. Anyone from anywhere can watch, and there will be plenty of time for Q&A.

"Voting is an important and timely subject, and I know there are many questions: Is mobile voting safe and secure? How does it work? Are the votes verifiable? What about people who do not have a mobile device? How soon could mobile voting be made available? I will do my best to answer these and other questions."

To register for the webinar, click here.

The library registration form will ask for your name, email, and phone number. The email is so you can receive a link to join the webinar. The phone number is for use in case of a technical problem. Your information will be safe. You can trust local public libraries.

Any questions, feel free to contact John Patrick at john@johnpatrick.com.

Patrick will generously donate 100% of the proceeds from any online book sales next week to the Danbury Library.
