Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut hosts Strategies for Creatives workshops for stability and growth

Practical business interactive workshops for artists, creative entrepreneurs and small business owners will continue with the Creative Notebook series sponsored by the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut.

The seminars, hosted on Zoom, will begin on May 25 and continue every other Tuesday through the beginning of August. Each meeting will begin at 5 p.m. The charge for Cultural Alliance members will be $10, and $20 for non-members. Registration is required at http://bit.ly/CreativeNotebookspring2021.

Strategies for Artists: An overview of the Creative Notebook Series and the five steps needed to rebuild and sustain your creative business. Led by Lisa Scails, Cultural Alliance executive director.

June 8
How your goals and values align with your website, covering SEO, social media, blogs and more, to drive traffic toward your website. Led by Ginny Hull, creative director, Hull Graphic Design LLC.

June 22
Finding funds to grow your business, with a discussion of traditional and non-traditional funding options. Led by Nelson Merchan, adviser with the Small Business Development Center.

July 6
Protect your business from lawsuits and liability. A fast-paced and entertaining presentation by Attorney Cliff Ennico.

July 20
Prioritizing new technology to transform your business and help you become more productive, resilient and efficient. Led by Daniel Kayal, people & operations strategist.

August 3
The importance of your financials, including an overview of financial management, why you should use accounting software, and when to hire a bookkeeper or an accountant. Led by Elizabeth Santaus, owner, Dressler Santaus LLC.
