Hat City Ball 2022 is in-home dining event on February 11!

Danbury Museum's 2022 Hat City Ball on Friday, February 11

A special evening to benefit Danbury Museum. Learn more and purchase tickets here.

As you all are no doubt aware, the annual Hat City Ball is the museum’s signature fundraiser, providing critical funds to support the Danbury Museum’s mission. Last year, after a successful event with take-away meals, we had every hope that this year’s Hat City Ball would be an in-person event much like we’ve always had—an evening filled with fellowship, laughter, great food, good music and surrounded by friends, all for the benefit of the Danbury Museum.

Our first priority is keeping the museum staff, sponsors, friends, and members safe. And to that end, we’ve made the difficult and necessary decision to make our Hat City Ball 2022 an in-home dining event again. We will miss seeing all of you very much, but we hope you will choose to support us this year as you have in the past.

If you joined us last year, well, you already know the drill. We have everything set up to make a meal purchase online that you will pick up at the Amber Room on the night of Friday, February 11th, at a scheduled time. You have a choice of delicious Tuscan Chicken, Prime Rib with Au Jus, (both are served with seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes) or the vegetarian option of Mushroom Ravioli in a creamy sage sauce. All the meals come with salad, rolls, and a decadent chocolate dessert. It’s the Amber Room, so you know you’ll have an amazing meal.

As we did last year, we'll be donating hot meals via The New American Dream Foundation's Covid-19 Senior Hot Meals initiative. We're so pleased to once again be able to assist in their efforts to serve our seniors, our “memory keepers,” the persons whose time and talents have contributed to decades of Danbury growth and change!

We’ve lowered the ticket price to $100—just like last year—and we hope that you’ll join us in being together, apart, for one more year. This is certainly not ideal and not the 2022 Hat City Ball any of us envisioned, but we are stalwart sorts and we’re committed to keeping the museum on track financially, despite the pandemic-related difficulties.

Your support this year is crucial.

We hope you’ll treat yourself or your family to a great meal cooked by our friends at the Amber Room, or buy a few meals for your friends to kick-off Valentine’s Day Weekend and show a little love for the Danbury Museum.

We’d be remiss if we didn’t thank our early sponsors who have already been so incredibly supportive: Savings Bank of Danbury, Union Savings Bank, WCSU, M&T Bank, The Amber Room Colonnade, Non-Profit Development Corporation of Danbury, Webster Bank, and Berkshire Corporate Park.

And we are grateful for our early advertisers, as well: Earthmovers, Mulvaney Mechanical, Norbert E Mitchell Company, & Nuvance Health.

If you bank or do business with any of these generous local sponsors and advertisers, please thank them for their continued support of the Hat City Ball and the Danbury Museum!

And there's still time to advertise or be a sponsor! Contact  DMHSA@danbury-ct.gov for all the details or click here.
