Media Arts Film Festival on May 13 at WCSU

The Western Connecticut State University Media Arts Film Festival returns to the WCSU Midtown campus on Friday, May 13. In its eighth year, the festival showcases the best student works from the Media ProductionDigital & Interactive Media and Art programs at WCSU.

The May 13 event takes place in the Student Center on the Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. The evening will begin with a 6 p.m. reception in the Student Center lobby, a 7 p.m. Digital Interactive Media Arts Exhibition in Room 202, and an 8 p.m. film screening and awards ceremony in the Student Center Theater. The festival is free and open to the public; formal attire is suggested, but not required. There will be refreshments and a cash bar during the reception.

Sponsored by the BEA Student ClubWCSU Alumni Association, the Communication & Media Arts Department and the Art Department, the event will culminate with awards for best films, videos, animations, screenplays, soundscapes, 360 video and interactive media.
