Housatonic Habitat for Humanity to hold Blueprints and Blue Jeans event to celebrate 30th anniversary in September
Housatonic Habitat for Humanity will hold its first annual Blueprints and Blue Jeans fundraising event to celebrate its 30th anniversary on September 22 at 6:30 pm at the Lounsbury House in Ridgefield, CT.
The fundraiser will celebrate 30 years of building homes, communities and hope in the Western Connecticut area.
“It's truly amazing to me that what started as a local Habitat commitment by a group of Ridgefielders around a kitchen table decades ago, now builds affordable homes for working families in 15 towns across western Connecticut,” Housatonic Habitat Executive Director Diana Arfine said. “As a 22-year Ridgefield resident myself, I am excited to bring the organization back to its roots to mark our 30-year anniversary.”
The inspiring program will honor co-founder and longtime supporter John Patrick, hard-working Habitat homeowners, volunteers and other donors in the community. The event is hosted by comedian Christine O’Leary with entertainment by local musician Jim Endee. The event will feature food and cocktails from Bailey’s Backyard, a bourbon tasting, wine pull, and live and silent auctions. The attire is “casual country Connecticut.”
Housatonic Habitat services the following local communities: Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Danbury, New Canaan, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield, Roxbury, Sherman, Washington, Weston, and Wilton.
