The Joni Project. One Night Only at The Palace Danbury. Friday night, September 2, 2022 celebrating one of music's greatest and most innovative artists, Joni Mitchell. From early folk to rock and jazz, The Joni Project brings fresh interpretation to the music of Joni Mitchell, paying homage to the songs and spirit of her legendary catalogue.
 
Doors open at 7:00 PM. Show starts at 8:00 PM. Reserved Seating. Tickets are $35.00 and can be purchased in advance online at www.thepalacedanbury.com, by phone at (203) 794-9944, or at the box office starting one hour before showtime. Free parking for patrons.
 
The band includes jazz and jam band mainstays Dave Berg on guitar, Dan Ehrlich on bass, Alan Lerner on drums, Mark Mancini on keyboards, Steve Finklestein on percussion, Premik Russell Tubbs on saxophone and flute, and Victoria Faiella on background vocals.
 
Of special interest to Connecticut fans is BROOKFIELD'S OWN Premik Russell Tubbs. Premik is a composer, arranger, producer and an accomplished multi-instrumentalist who performs on flute, saxophone, wind synthesizers, and lap steel guitar. He is equally adept in pop, R&B, jazz, world and experimental genres.
 
Premik's list of credits reads like a who's who in the music world. He has worked with Carlos Santana, Whitney Houston, Herbie Hancock, Ravi Shankar, Narada Michael Walden, Clarence Clemons, Ornette Coleman, Jackson Browne, Jean-Luc Ponty, Scarlet Riveria, James Taylor, Sting and Lady Gaga just to name a few.

Collectively, the band has performed with members of the Grateful Dead, Carlos Santana, The Band, The Doors, Herbie Hancock, the Neville Brothers, and many others. Together they perform the very best of Joni Mitchell’s iconic hits and music.

ABOUT JONI MITCHELL: Singer, songwriter, painter, poet, activist and voice of a generation, Joni Mitchell is an essential part of the soundtrack to the twentieth century. Joni has not performed a full-length concert for the past 20 years. Last month, on Sunday July 24, she made a surprise appearance at the Newport Folk Fest, .
 
ABOUT KATIE PEARLMAN: The Joni Project is led by multi-instrumentalist and songbird Katie Pearlman. Pearlman is a rarity in the music world. A singer & songwriter with multiple albums to her name, she plays rock-solid drums (she began drums at age 10!) as well as acoustic & electric guitar Equally at home with gentle folk, indie rock, and cool jazz, she sings with a soulful ease creating a signature and well defined musical style.
