Registration now open for Direct Service Volunteer Training at The Women's Center

The Women's Center of Greater Danbury is now accepting applications for it's spring Direct Service Volunteer training.  Volunteer opportunities include Hotline Crisis Intervention (from your home or on-site), Group Facilitation, Court Advocacy and On-Site Administration.  Training will take place at The Women's Center, 2 West Street, Danbury, CT, June 20-23 & 27-30 from 9:30am-4:30pm.

Because abuse does not discriminate and to insure that our services are responsive to the needs of all individuals, we are actively recruiting volunteers who reflect the diversity of the Greater Danbury community.  Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.  Bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Visit Direct Service Volunteer Application to apply or contact Elizabeth at elizabeth.i@wcogd.org for more information and to schedule an interview.

The Women's Center is a non-profit organization with a vision to end the violence against women, men and children, to foster equality and empowerment for all. We serve the needs of individuals and families in the Northern Fairfield and Southern Litchfield communities. We provide prevention, crisis intervention, and support services with regard to domestic violence, sexual assault, and other major life transitions. Our free and confidential services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We're here to talk about it.
