Free Skin Cancer Screening at Danbury Hospital

Danbury Hospital is hosting two free skin cancer screening events in May. Ten minutes can save your life! 

Danbury Hospital is hosting two free skin cancer screening events in May. Danbury area dermatologists are participating. Please come to have your skin checked and to learn more about preventing and recognizing skin cancer. The event is open to the public. We especially encourage you to attend if you have never had your skin checked for skin cancer and/or you have risk factors for skin cancer.

Danbury Hospital, Praxair Cancer Center: 95 Locust Avenue, Danbury, CT 06810 (park in the red parking garage off of Locust Avenue)

Tuesday, May 21, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Wednesday, May 22, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Registration closes at 7:45 PM each night

Risk Factors for Skin Cancer Include:

  • Fair skin that freckles or burns easily
  • Blond or red hair
  • Blue, green, or gray eyes
  • A personal or family history of skin cancer
  • High sun exposure and multiple sunburns, especially at an early age
  • Use of tanning beds or sun lamps
  • High number of moles
