Warm Up the City - Danbury Info Sesson on June 6

Warm Up the City to Hold Interest Meeting, Danbury informational session on June 11th - 6pm

Warm Up the City – Danbury, presented by Speak Life Foundation, will be holding an informational session on June 11th at the Danbury Police Station Community Room from 6-7pm.

Anyone interested in getting involved or learning more about Warm Up the City should attend. This community outreach event is now entering its fourth year in the City of Danbury and has already served approximately 300 low-income and homeless families in the area through donations of warm wear and hygiene items. Partners of this event include the City of Danbury, the Danbury Police Department, Primark, Western CT State University Pre-Collegiate & Access Programs & the River Church of Danbury.

This year, the event will be held on October 19th at Kennedy Park. Each year, a number of volunteers sort through donations and hand out bags of clothing/hygiene items to those in need. The event this year will continue to give back to the low-income and homeless population but include fun and free activities for children and families to enjoy together.

Anyone unable to attend, but seeking more information, can contact Cornieta A. Whitfield via phone 203-707-9970 or email wespeaklifeintoyou@gmail.com.
