Eversource says they will announce town-by-town restoration estimates today

Eversource Reports Number of crews doubled on Friday

More than 1,500 crews, including many from out of state, are now working hard to repair the significant damage brought by Tropical Storm Isaias. Another 70,000 customers were brought back into service since Friday morning as round-the-clock restoration continues.

We will announce town-by-town restoration estimates later on Saturday to give customers more specific information.

We're running six local command centers across the state in the hardest hit regions: Danbury, Waterbury, Berlin, Waterford, Stamford and at Lake Compounce in Bristol. This regional approach is allowing us to more efficiently deploy crew resources.

Damage assessments will finish Saturday, but so far nearly 1,200 broken or damaged poles have been identified along with more than 4,800 downed trees and 172 miles of downed wire – enough to span the distance from Hartford to Philadelphia.

We're updating state officials on our progress multiple times a day to ensure they understand the progress we're making.

As work continues, updates and photos of restoration work are being posted on our website at Eversource.com.

Safety: Downed Wires and Trees
It’s critical to stay as far away as possible from downed wires and trees that may have wires caught in them. Always assume the wire is live and call 911 and Eversource immediately.

We know how urgently those still out need power back – especially right now given the pandemic and hot summer weather. We will not rest until this restoration is complete.
