Outrage over lack of power: Mayor Mark wants to take legal action against Eversource

Mayor Mark Boughton took to social media early today to say that 5,167 Eversource CT customers in Danbury woke up without power. He used the hashtag #neversource

"Eversource CT has no plan, they've broken promise after promise to our residents, the subcontractor Crews are not working or dispatched with any sense of urgency. Last night I explained for the tenth time where an outage is located (apparently because it has two addresses it makes springs pop out of their computers) to Eversource staff, and a total failure of its systems," said Boughton.

Today, Boughton will be consulting with surrounding Mayors and First Selectmen and the City's legal team to look at legal action that can be brought against Eversource, it's CEO, and it's senior management team.

"Regardless of what happens today the City of Danbury will never forget. #Danbury #neversource," said Boughton.
