Mayor Mark Takes On John Oliver After Rant About Danbury, Tune in to WTNH on Sunday!

A day following comedian John Oliver's rant about Danbury (using expletives) on his HBO show, Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton has already orchestrated a plan. It will come this Sunday, by way of a broadcast on WTNH (News 8)

"Our official City of Danbury response to Mr. Oliver's comments regarding our city will be broadcast Sunday morning during Connecticut Capitol Report," Boughton said on social media today. "Wait till you see what the Rock is cooking," added Boughton using the hashtags #johnoliver #DanburyPride #bringit.

Oliver said that Danbury residents have a standing invite to get a thrashing from him. While the comedian did his share of mocking (and cursing) he did mention some of Danbury's historical treasures including the Danbury Railway Museum and Tarrywile's historic hearthstone castle.
