What is it like walking Into The Woods with ACT of Connecticut?

Many locals spent the past few days walking deep Into The Woods with ACT of Connecticut. And, they exited the forest far happier than when they entered.

ACT’s Executive Director Katie Diamond, Artistic Director Daniel C. Levine, and Music Director Bryan Perri did it again. They assembled a cast of talented Broadway performers (and a few local celebrities) and grated our wish for entertainment greatness, right here at home.

ACT’s version of the Tony Award-winning musical Into The Woods was a scene out of a spell-binding Brother Grimms fairy tale filled with magic, folklore, and wonder.

With the orchestra elegantly visible in the background, actual trees (thank you, Bart’s Tree Service) set the stage for a mesmerizing and brilliant musical performance melodiously narrated by Ira Joe Fisher.

With the final two performances today, ACT of Connecticut mainstage event took place last night with ACT’s annual Gala which was held in-person (limited capacity).  The elegant evening included a Live and Silent Auction and began outdoors with cocktails and delectable cuisine from an array of local culinary stars including Katie’s Intoxikating Kakes by Katie Diamond, Gallo Ristorante, The Lantern, Nature’s Temptations, Bareburger Ridgefield, TerraSole, Exit 4 Food Hall, Sarah’s Wine Bar/Bernard’s, Bridgestreet Premium Ice Company, Mt. Kisco Seafood, Vine and Co., Litchfield Distillery, and Captain Lawrence Brewing Company.

Then, guests were whisked inside the Theater where Katie, Daniel and Bryan honored First Selectman Rudy Marconi and Kerry Anne Ducey for their community contributions. Both Marconi and Ducey were gifted custom handmade wooden vases, fittingly crafted from felled Ridgefield trees.

The Into The Woods performance was the pinnacle of the night and featured Pearl Sun, Trey Ellett, Daniela Sikora, Ira Joe Fisher, Jordan Dobson, Chris Minor, Ashley Seldon, Phil Sloves, Juliet Lambert Pratt, Emma Tattenbaum-Fine, Morgan Billings Smith, Brad Greer, Jennifer Babiak, Mia Scarpa, Priya Mahendra, Eileen Veghte and TJ Swetz.

The night was made possible by the incredible ACT of Connecticut team and Gala committee lead by co-chairs Rebecca Baglio and Kristin Beylouni and including Wendy Beurket, Christine Boris, Katie Diamond, Heather Hillman, Mary Joyce, Karen Kipnes, Kristin McGuinness, Patricia Minskoff, Leslie Partington, Jennifer Phippen, Danielle Van Riper, Cynthia Whitehouse, and Rajal Young.
