City of Danbury begins “This Week in the City” Video Series

City launches innovative approach to better inform and reach more residents about the inner workings and current issues of municipal government

Today, Mayor Dean Esposito and the City of Danbury launched the video series “This Week in the City”, a new innovative approach to informing residents of the inner workings of municipal government. This effort is part of a weekly series with the goal of reaching more residents and showing them first-hand how the City of Danbury works every day on behalf of the taxpayers.

“I’m excited for the launch of “This Week in the City” because for a city our size, it’s important to show our residents how hard our city staff work to provide the best services possible.

This series will also inform our residents of the critical issues facing our city,” said Mayor Dean Esposito The City of Danbury went to RFP in search of a vendor, and awarded the contract to RmediA, a local Danbury-based video production company to provide a weekly video series highlighting various aspects of the City of Danbury. “We are honored to work with the City of Danbury on this important and beneficial project for the residents of Danbury. This weekly project will be professional while organically showcasing the great work of our City and its people,” said Alicia and Renato Ghio, owners of RmediaA.

The Mayor’s Office has been implementing a transformative approach to communication with the public. This includes the beginning process of building a new city website and investing in the Everbridge alert system, all with the goal of making local government more accessible to Danbury’s residents.
