The holidays are coming, volunteers needed at the Danbury ReStore
Holiday sales are always a great source of income at the Danbury ReStore. Throughout the year we save all the holiday donations in order to hold a huge holiday sale in the fall. This year we will host a special holiday shopping event at our mall location on Tuesday, Nov. 1. All sales from the event will benefit our Brush with Kindness program that provides free home repairs to seniors and veterans on fixed incomes.
It's time to prepare for the sale and we could use all-hands-on-deck to make it happen. We are looking for volunteers to help sort and price all of the awesome holiday donations we've been saving. The holiday crew will meet at the Austin Street warehouse Tuesdays from 12-4 and Thursdays 9:30-1:30, from Sept. 27-Oct. 31. You can sign up for all or just one of the shifts -- any help is appreciated!
Interested in joining in the fun? It's easy to sign up. Simply create your profile on our new volunteer portal. Once you've finished and are still logged in, click on opportunities on the left navigation pane and then select the opportunity called "Getting Ready for the Holidays." Click on "respond" to select the dates/times that you wish to volunteer. *Please note that minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult when volunteering.
