Where are the Top Ten Immaculate High School Students Attending College?

Taylor Guth was named the Valedictorian and Sean McCoy was named the Salutatorian for the graduating Class of 2016. Combined, the 113 students were awarded $17.5 million in scholarships and merit awards from top ranked colleges and universities.

In her address to her classmates, Guth shared that "We are the 50th graduating class of Immaculate High School and thus our year has been unforgettable and unparalleled with any other graduating class in the history of our school. Our Catholic education has prepared us to accept and overcome life's challenges. Immaculate was a place that promised respect, responsibility and reverence; a place where teachers were genuinely concerned about our success and happiness and inspired us to do great things; and a place that had a greater impact on our lives than we may have realized."

In celebration of their 50th graduation anniversary, members of Immaculate's Class of 1966 joined the Class of 2016 at the June 1 commencement ceremony which was held at Western Connecticut State University. Joseph Abdella, Brian Bigham, Judith Corbett, David Deakin, Helen (McCarthy) Fortin, Bob Godfrey, Vickey Hickey, Shirley McAfee, Bridget Murphy, Daniel Murphy, Kathy Murphy, Doris (Fontaine) Peterson,Thomas Peterson, Jo-Anne (Tomanio) Price, Colleen (Shea) Santaniello and Elaine (St. Georges) Schmeltz were presented with a golden sash and certificate.
