Faure’s Cantique plus Brubeck jazz set for January 15 at The Meeting House

 

 

The Newtown Choral Society will present  Gabriel Faure’s Contique plus jazz by Dave Brubeck and works by Aaaron Copeland and Andre Thomas on Sunday, January 15 at 3:30 pm at The Meeting House, Main Street, Newtown.  

Under the direction of Mary Andreotta and accompanied by Susan Anthony-Klein, the concert will include  music from Brubeck’s Joy in the Morning as well as selections  from Aaron Copeland’s The Tender Land and the Shaker hymn Simple gifts.

Tickets, available only at the door, are $10, with $8 for seniors and students.
