Danbury Writers' Critique Group Kicks Off March 17 at the Library

Danbury, CT--The Danbury Public Library is pleased to announce the newly formed "Danbury Writers' Critique Group." The first meeting of this exciting group will take place on March 17th at 2 PM in the Library's Technology Center Conference Room. It is open to local writers of all skill levels and genres.

At this workshop, participants will benefit from the "peer response group" process. Participants are asked to bring at least five copies of a work they plan to present to the group. Time will be allocated for reading aloud, receiving honest considerate feedback and written comments. Additional group process procedures will be provided at the meeting. Space is limited to 10 participants. The class is currently almost filled to capacity. To register call 203.797.4505, x 7730

This workshop will be facilitated by writer-in-residence, Ms. Serena Rose Twombly. Participants will benefit from short lessons on the writing process, learn about "writing down the bones" and will experience the "demystification" of the writing process.

Ms. Jodi Weisz, Danbury Public Library Adult Librarian, will be on-hand to introduce participants to the Library's resources on writing, editing, authorship and more. Interested participants are encouraged to register online at: http://danburylibrary.org/category/event/ or call
