Library seeks input from Danbury residents to assist in the Library’s strategic planning process

The Danbury Library is seeking input from Danbury residents to assist in the Library’s strategic planning process. The strategic plan is a roadmap for the future that will guide the Library’s goals as an institution for the next five years.

“A core part of the Library’s mission is to be responsive to the varied needs of the city’s diverse community,” said Katie Pearson, Library Director. “We need to be able to identify those needs as they change and evolve.”

The Library is hosting several focus groups in the month of April and invites all residents, regardless of whether or not they currently use the library, to join the discussion.

“If there are reasons that residents are not using the library, we want to know that too.”

Focus groups will be held on Tuesday, April 10th at 3pm, Tuesday, April 17th at 5:30pm, and Thursday, April 26th at 11am in the Farioly Program Room of the Danbury Library. They will also be hosting a focus group at WCSU’s Westside Campus Center on Thursday, April 19th at 6pm.

To register for a focus group session, visit the library website (danburylibrary.org), e-mail comments@danburylibrary.org or call Cecelia Lefurgy at 203.797.4505, ext 7704.
