Music education major, Andrea Stock, a senior at Hofstra University, performed a vocal recital on Saturday, April 7, at The Helene Fortunoff Theater. Featured artists included vocalist Karen Fernandez '18, percussionists Connor Martin '18 and Dylan Newshan '18, violinist Paula Chirinos '20, clarinetist Kyle Small '18 and pianist Violetta Zabbi.
Some of the recital was dedicated to Arabic music, in tribute to Stock's heritage. Also featured were Baroque and Romantic pieces, including works by Antonio Vivaldi (Italian Baroque style composer), Joseph Maurice Ravel (French Contemporary composer) and Camille Saint-Saens (French Romantic style composer).
Stock is currently completing student teaching assignments and preparing for a career in music education.
