Danbury resident Harry F. Doyle Sr., 79, has died

Harry F. Doyle Sr.

Harry F. Doyle Sr., 79, of Danbury, husband of Charlotte (MacGregor) Doyle, died on Monday, April 16, 2018 at his home.
Mr. Doyle was born in Cleveland, Ohio, July 1, 1938, a son of the late Joseph and Harriet Doyle. He attended Cleveland schools and attained a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran serving in the Medical Corps. He was active in years past in the Danbury area sporting programs serving in fundraising, sponsorships and coaching.

A resident of Danbury for the past forty-five years coming from Boston, Mr. Doyle was a retired retail salesman and was a member of the Church of St. Mary, Bethel.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Doyle is survived by three sons, Fran, Tim and Matt and four grandchildren, Evan, Emily, Jonathan and Bethany.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 10:30 am in the Church of St. Mary, 26 Dodgingtown Rd., Bethel. Interment will be private and at the direction of the family.
The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave. (between White & Osborne Sts.) Danbury on Saturday, April 21, 2018 between the hours of 1 pm and 4 pm.
