Danbury CEO Honored at Women World Awards Event

 

Cynthia Emiry Roy, President and CEO of Regional Hospice & Palliative Care in Danbury, CT, was honored Monday night as a Bronze winner in the prestigious Women World Awards® in the Female Executive of the Year | 100 - 499 Employees category, for her innovations in facilitating hospice care.  The coveted annual Women World Awards program encompasses the world’s best in leadership, innovation, organizational performance, new products and services, and milestones from every major industry in the world. Organizations from all over the world are eligible to submit nominations including public and private, for-profit and non-profit, largest to smallest and new start-ups.

More than 80 judges from a broad spectrum of industry voices from around the world participated and their average scores determined the 2018 award winners. Winners were honored in San Francisco on Monday, July 30, 2018 during the annual SVUS Red Carpet Awards Ceremony Dinner in San Francisco attended by the finalists, winners, judges and industry peers.
 
“It’s a great honor to receive a 2018 Women World Award and be acknowledged with this group of innovative, international women who’ve accomplished so much that their successes will support all women’s endeavors,” said Ms. Roy.  “My passion for the last 21 years has been to change the way end-of-life care is delivered. I helped update healthcare legislation in Connecticut and built The Center For Comfort Care and Healing, a specialty hospital, to help thousands of patients make the best of everyday. This award is a reminder that women helping women can make a huge difference throughout business, society and culture.”
