Danbury Library to record interviews as part of the Voices of Danbury program

Danbury Library will begin recording the important voices of its community, including stories of the people it serves and their families and friends. Voices of Danbury is inspired in part by StoryCorps @ your library, a national program designed to help public libraries across the country collect the stories of their communities and is just one of the library’s many programs celebrating Family History Month in October.

Every Friday in October between 12-3pm, we invite Danbury residents and their family and friends to make a half-hour appointment to record their Danbury story in Studio170, the library’s free recording studio. A volunteer will be available to help with the recording process.  Share how your family came to this town, a treasured memory, or an exciting anecdote. We welcome all stories.

If you are interested in participating in Voices of Danbury, please email Amanda Gilbertie at dplrecording@danburylibrary.org to set up an appointment.
