June T. Baldwin, 81, of Danbury, died on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Danbury Hospital.
Mrs. Baldwin was born in Waterbury, CT on June 30, 1937, the daughter of the late John and Helen (Hudobenko) Misura and resided in Oakville, CT with her family. She graduated from Watertown High School Class of 1955 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Danbury State Teachers College in the Class of 1959 (now Western CT State University).
A resident of Danbury for 63 years. June was an educator and a recreational therapist from 1977 to 2003 with the former Mediplex of Danbury. She was a past member of the Ridgebury Congregational Church,Ridgefield, CT.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan B. Sturdevant of Bradenton, FL and Sara B. Palmer and her husband Todd of New Fairfield, CT; a brother, Raymond Misura of Watertown, CT; three grandchildren, Rachel Sturdevant, Garrett Palmer and Grant Palmer and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baldwin was predeceased by a brother, Henry and sister, Emma.
Funeral services will take place on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 1:30 at the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9 Granville Ave.Danbury, CT.
Relatives and friends will be received in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home on Thursday from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM.
Interment will take place at the direction of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions to one’s favorite charity would be greatly appreciated.
