Former Services Planned for Danbury Resident Anne G. Liner

Anne G. Liner

Anne "Anna Banana" Gabrielle (Schneider) Liner, formerly of Danbury, Connecticut, born on March 7, 1932 in Burlington, Vermont, to the late Mary Louise Schneider and the late Victor Schneider, passed away at age 86 on January 7, 2019 at her residence in St. Petersburg, Florida.
 
Anne graduated from St Michael's College Nursing School in 1953. She was a nurse at Fairfield Hills Hospital until retiring in 1994.
 
Anne was the loving wife of the late Alan Hadley Liner. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Victor "Jack" Schneider and Bob Schneider and sisters, Helen Mitiguy, Dorothy Martell, and Betty Macedo. Anne is survived by her children, Louise (Allen) Barrett, Estella (Mike) LoGiudice, Priscilla (Yuji) Hiratsuka, Alan (Jane) Liner, Hugh (Diane) Liner, Doreen (Scott) Olson, Alicia (Todd) Shiland, Duane (Hong) Liner, and Robert (Stasia) Liner; grandchildren, Michael (Meredith) Barrett, Johnny Barrett, Thomas Barrett, Annie Barrett, Jenna (Mike Catanese) LoGiudice, Mikey LoGiudice, Hana Hiratsuka, Toshio Hiratsuka, Christine (Rob) Robles, Jessica (Dan Devaney) Liner, Caitlin (Brian Colan) Liner, Aaron Liner,  Nathan Cabeceiras, Jessica Cabeceiras, April Cabeceiras, Becca (Danny) Fischer, Luke Olson, Eli Olson, Jacob Olson, Esau Olson, Dylan Shiland, Reid Shiland, Marisa Shiland, Tyger Liner, Catrina Liner, Lily Liner, and Benjamin Liner; great-grandchildren, Serenity Cabeceiras, George Cabeceiras, Samaya Brooks, Bobby Robles, Peyton Robles, Ryan Robles, Maggie Catanese, Isabel Catanese, Leo Catanese, Jane DeVaney, MaryAnna DeVaney, and Lucy Fischer. She loved crocheting afghans and being the #1 favorite mom/grandma/great-grandma! 
 
She was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Danbury and St Raphael's Catholic Church in St Petersburg. Friends and family can pay their respects at the visitation on Sunday, January 20 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9 Granville Ave, Danbury, (203) 748-6262 with a Wake Service (Panachida) at 4:30 p.m.
 
A Funeral Liturgy will take place, officiated by Reverend Ronald Hatton, on Monday, January 21 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 13 Pembroke Rd, Danbury, Connecticut, 06811 followed by internment at 11:30 a.m. at Wooster Cemetery. Donations in Anne Liner's name may be made to the Icon Restoration Fund at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church.
