Eastern Student Robin Blassberg of Danbury Inducted into Lambda Pi Eta Communication Honor Society

WILLIMANTIC, CT (06/05/2019)-- Eastern Connecticut State University's Communication Department hosted its annual honor society induction and award ceremony on April 25. At the event 34 new members were inducted into the Lambda Pi Eta National Communication Honor Society and awarded for their outstanding accomplishments in the communication major. Upwards of 200 faculty, family, friends and honorees attended the ceremony.

Among the honored was Robin Blassberg '21 of Danbury who majors in Communication. Blassberg was inducted into Lambda Pi Eta and presented with an award for Excellence in Journalism.

The Lambda Pi Eta National Honor Society was established in 1995 to recognize, foster and reward outstanding scholastic achievement. Today, Lambda Pi Eta has approximately 400 active chapters at colleges and universities worldwide.

Membership to Lambda Pi Eta is by invitation only. Qualifications for Lambda Pi Eta inductees include having completed at least 12 semester hours in communication studies, a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and being in the upper 35 percent of their graduating class.
