Savings Bank of Danbury sponsors music for Danbury's Downtown Chow-Down celebration

Savings Bank of Danbury, a mutual savings bank headquartered in Danbury with 15 locations throughout Connecticut, is doing its part to help with Danbury’s “Downtown Chow-Down” celebration by providing sponsorship of the program’s music.

The Bank, celebrating its 170th anniversary this year, is the music sponsor for the popular event. The Downtown Chow-Down is a CityCenter Danbury program that will run on Thursdays through August 29, 2019. The Chow-Down hosts food truck vendors and musicians at Kennedy Park in Danbury on the designated dates from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Visitors can enjoy purchasing food from the featured food truck vendors and listen to live music while enjoying their lunch at picnic tables placed under tents provided by CityCenter.

“This summer, Savings Bank of Danbury is proud to sponsor the musical entertainment at City Center’s Downtown Chow-Down,” said BethAnn Fetzer, Vice President/ Community Development Officer at the Savings Bank of Danbury. “Every Thursday during the summer, you will find music, food and fun in Kennedy Park. This has become a very popular downtown destination activity and we are happy to be a part of the Downtown Chow-Down.”
