Under the watchful eyes of Mayor Mark Boughton, the members of the Danbury Fire Department and a room full of witnesses had the honor of seeing six new recruits being sworn in by Corporation Counsel Les Pinter.
Afterward, each of the probationary firefighters had their badges pinned on for the first time.
They have one more week of in-house training, and then will report to their respective platoons effective December 15th.
