Former Danbury Resident Vincent Michael Coughlin, 85, has Died

Vincent Michael Coughlin, 85, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020. He was the loving husband of Barbara Ann (Collins) Coughlin.

Mr. Coughlin was born on March 5, 1935 in Pittsburgh, PA; the youngest son of the late John and Frances (Lynch) Coughlin. Mr. Coughlin graduated from Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School, served honorably in the United States Marine Corps from 1953 to 1956 and graduated from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.

An area resident for the last 10 years, Mr. Coughlin was a retired Municipal Planner for multiple cities throughout the United States.

Mr. Coughlin is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara and their five children: Michael Coughlin and his wife, Jean; Stephen Coughlin and his wife, Kathleen; Mary Paladino and her husband Mark, John Coughlin, and Katie Scalzulli and her husband, William. In addition, Mr. Coughlin is survived by 10 grandchildren: Patricia, Michael, Elizabeth, Matthew, Mary Kate, Caroline, Christine, Kathleen, Nancy and Nicole.

Mr. Coughlin was predeceased by his brothers John and Robert, and sisters Betty, Pat, Eleanor and Mary Lou.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St. Gregory the Great Church; 85 Great Plain Road, Danbury. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery; Pittsburgh, PA.
