Memorial Service Planned for Joseph LoStocco III, 58, of Danbury

Joseph LoStocco III, 58, of Danbury, CT passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Danbury Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Francine (Chieffalo) LoStocco for 29 years. He was a devoted father to Joseph IV and Maria.

Joe was born in Danbury, CT, son of the late Joseph and Amelia (Octavio) LoStocco. He attended Danbury schools and was a proud graduate of Henry Abbott Technical High School.

Besides his family, Joe’s first love was his refuse business, LoStocco Services LLC, which he operated for almost 40 years. Joe would have rather been in a truck than anywhere else; he loved a shiny, new truck but also appreciated the old classics, always saying “they have a lot of life left in them”. He was a member of the Antique Truck Club of America, CT Yankee Chapter and enjoyed going to their truck shows. He also loved attending the truck shows in Macungie, PA with his son, Joe IV and brother-in-law, Vinnie Shannon. Joe was a jack-of-all-trades and a self-taught welder and fabricator; out of this love of welding Joe started LoStocco Metalworks LLC. Joe was also an avid vegetable gardener with a phenomenal green thumb; he often gave away almost everything he grew.

Joe’s proudest accomplishments in life were his son, Joseph IV for his management of LoStocco Metalworks LLC and his daughter, Maria, for singing at various patriotic and public events. He was proud to have both his son and daughter working daily with him at LoStocco Services LLC.

Joe had the biggest heart and friendliest smile; he was a devoted friend and was always there if you needed help. Joe was known for his loyalty, integrity and sense of decency.

Besides his wife and children, Joseph is survived by his sisters: Elizabeth Shannon and Roseann LoStocco. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Antonia Chieffalo, brothers-in-law Domenico Chieffalo and Salvatore Chieffalo and niece, Parker Chieffalo. He was honored to be Godfather to his niece, Rose Shannon and Nicolena LeRose.

He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Amelia LoStocco, his father-in-law, Salvatore Chieffalo, and his beloved brother-in-law, Vincent Shannon.

The public is invited to a Memorial Mass in Joe’s honor on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at St. Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Road, Danbury, at 12pm noon.
