Services in Danbury for Edwin Ordonez, 28, GoFundMe Launched to Support Family

Some people just light up a room, and Edwin Ordonez was that person.

Edwin Ordonez died last week at the age of 28.

According to Anthony Cataldo and Danny Hayes who organized a GoFundMe campaign on behalf of Edwin's family, the beloved community member who worked at Danbury War Memorial before joining the staff at  Ridgefield High School, passed away after a tragic accident. Edwin leaves behind his wife and his first child, Sarah, who is just four months old.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (29 Golden Hill Rd. Danbury, CT) on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 3pm – 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (29 Golden Hill Rd. Danbury, CT) on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 10 am with burial to follow at St. Peter Cemetery (Lake Ave. Ext. Danbury, CT). [More on Legacy.com]

Cataldo and Hayes explain, "While we can never replace Edwin, his daughter and wife will need to move forward without his physical presence and guidance. How wonderful would it be for them to feel the warmth and support of all who knew and loved him as they figure out this new life without him. His family and the communities of Ridgefield, Danbury, and beyond will miss him dearly. All funds collected will go directly to Edwin’s wife and daughter to help with their future living and educational needs."
