The Ben’s Bells 2023 CKD Committee is excited to announce the recipient of this year’s Kind Colleagues Award to Eva Aveiga, President and Founder of Miss and Teen Danbury, CT.
Eva created Miss and Teen Danbury, CT on the basis of wanting to have a pageant that not only celebrated and empowered women of ALL different backgrounds and cultures but to provide the opportunity for a platform where their voices will always be heard. A platform they can utilize to contribute back to their beautiful community while also doing what they are most passionate about. All while feeling their ABSOLUTE best by learning and achieving important qualities to further develop their leadership skills, self-confidence, and overall personal character development.
This amazing young lady not only runs an organization that builds up and empowers young women (at a young age herself) but she also gives back to the community. She has led a Safe Walk team at The Center for Empowerment & Education, as well as volunteering at their fundraising events.
Eva has completed her certification training program and is officially certified as a counselor of domestic violence and sexual assault. She also volunteers with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Danbury and is an avid member of the Ecuadorian Community Center and a beautiful representative of the Latino community.
Eva builds people up with encouraging words. She leads by example. She knows how to hold safe space for others and is rarely seen without a smile. Eva recently received a number of citations from both the State and Federal government for all she does. She believes that the most beautiful people in the world are empowered people and she would love to leave you all with a reminder to always be: Absolutely brave, brilliant, YOU.
