#WineWednesdays at Danbury's Trendy Main Street Cafe
According to a study by Australian bottlers Cobevco, Wednesday evenings at approximately 6:53pm mark the midway in the week and, significantly, a time when folks naturally kick off their shoes and pour themselves a glass of wine. The popular ritual enjoys an international reputation and has gone viral on social media, now joined by Pour Me Coffee & Wine Cafe, the trendy new fast-fine eatery at 274 Main Street in Danbury, CT.
Appropriately, Pour Me's snappy decor includes a wall featuring "Welcome" spelled out in the 64 languages spoken in Danbury, 54 of which are spoken by Danbury Public School children, a celebration of the City's diversity and inclusion. So proprietor Andrea Gartner has adopted the #WineWednesdays movement to extend her welcoming brand of hospitality. In doing so, she's joining such dining spots as Mario Batali's Eataly NYC Downtown, Congress Squad (C2) in Portland, Maine, the vineyards of Casablanca Valley in Chile, The Pomegranate in Cardiff, Wales, as well as every foodie on the World Wide Web.
You and your guests can also enter an Instagram contest by posting your #WineWednesdays pix at @pourmect through November. The winner will receive a bottle of wine and a a $25 Pour Me gift card.
