Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Parts Cutter CNC!

Three questions with Stephen Williams, owner of Parts Cutter CNC.

Why did you start your business?

I started Parts Cutter CNC to offer architectural millwork machining to the Fairfield County area.
With my computerized driven CNC machines I can make cabinet parts for a fraction of what it costs a typical woodshop. Builders and other millworkers use my business as an outsourcing option to save them time, money and offer them a level of precision/capabilities they cannot achieve.

Best selling product or service?

Knockdown cabinets, think of me as a custom IKEA factory

Do you use any local businesses to support your business?

Yes, I use several: Fairfield County Bank, Fairfield County Bank Insurance Services, Tech Air, Atlantic Plywood, Rings End and Connecticut Plywood.

Parts Cutter CNC tags Kapteins Deli, Williams remarks, "The best deli in Danbury, it's fairly new, eat there every day!"
