You're IT Danbury Dynamic Dance & Fitness!

Three questions with Tiffany Montieth, owner of Danbury Dynamic Dance & Fitness.

Why did you start your business?

I found my passion for teaching and choreographing dance as early as 16 years old when I received my first position as a dance teacher in Canaan, CT.  I am now going on my 15th year teaching dance and I love every minute of it!  I’ve always dreamed of having my own dance studio and finally took the leap of faith in January 2017.  The studio has allowed me to touch many people’s lives in a positive manner.   At Danbury Dynamic Dance & Fitness we don’t just teach dance & fitness classes.  We teach life lessons and help students live healthier, happier and more confident lives.

Finish this sentence in regards to your business.  “I wish I could…”

I wish I could make all my business dreams come true overnight.  I have many plans and visions of growing the business and continue to work on them daily.  We have already had significant growth since opening and I am looking forward to what the future holds.  Some plans are to upgrade to a bigger space with multiple dance rooms and teachers.  Allowing for a larger variety of classes and class times to be held.  Therefore connecting and assisting more people in the community.

How many people do you employ? Any youth or seniors from the community?

I started the business as a one-person team teaching 6 days a week.  In the fall of 2018, I was able to bring on our first dance instructor.  It has been wonderful having someone to collaborate with and learn from.  That is the wonderful thing about the art of dance.  There is always something to learn and Ms. Alison brings much to the dance floor.  I also have three classroom helpers or understudies at the studio ages 11-15.  They are students of the studio that show a special passion for dancing and helping others.  They learn how to teach beginner dance classes along with work ethics and responsibility.
