Danbury Library Seeking Partnerships with Local Businesses to Promote National Library Week

Danbury Library is seeking partnerships with local businesses to promote National Library Week, “Libraries=Strong Communities,” from April 7-13.  The annual celebration focuses on the valuable services libraries and their staff provide to their communities throughout the country.

Businesses of all sizes are invited to offer a special discount or promotion to customers who show their Danbury Library card during National Library Week.   “Through this effort, we hope that businesses will gain new customers and the Library will register new cardholders as well as provide a novel use of our Library cards for our current patrons,” explains Katie Person, Director of the Danbury Library. Names and logos of participating businesses will be featured on Library print and digital promotions, providing an advertising opportunity that will reach hundreds of daily visitors to the Library, as well as views on its website and social media.  Each business will receive signage to post in their establishment that will explain the promotion.

Businesses who would like to participate or would like more information should contact Christina Davis at 203.797.4505, ext. 7747. The Danbury Library is located at 170 Main Street, Danbury, CT.
