Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT RmediA!
Three questions with Alicia Ghio, owner of RmediA.
RmediA's mission is to create great quality, cost-effective, engaging video productions.
Why did you start your business?
It all started on a hunch WAY back in 1999. We were working for other people at the time and just decided to jump in and do our own thing. It was a gut instinct that we can do it on our own, and, do it better. It was the right moment; we were compelled to take the leap. It was now or never.
Finish this sentence in regard to your business. I wish I could …
Do more for our downtown community. We are very involved in downtown revitalization and we do what we can as often as we can in terms of donating our time and services, but we’d always love to be able to do more and get others to see the amazing potential here.
We produce all kinds of content from 15-second commercials to social media videos to short-form documentaries and everything in between. The thing is, whatever the length, our real product, our service, is being able to effectively tell a story. We help businesses tell their story in a way that grabs their target audience.
We would love to tag all of our downtown neighbors, but if we have to choose just one, we choose The Parfumerie!
