You're IT OrthoConnecticut!

Three questions with OrthoConnecticut.

Tell me a bit about OrthoConnecticut

OrthoConnecticut opened its doors as Danbury Orthopedics in 1954. For more than 6 decades, the practice has been providing the finest orthopedic care to this community. Over time, the practice merged with The Hand Center of Western Connecticut, New Milford Orthopedics, Connecticut Pain Care, and Coastal Orthopedics, expanding its coverage area and offering easily accessible office locations throughout the western part of the state. The practices’ physicians are Board-Certified and have completed sub-specialty training in the key areas of orthopedics: Foot & Ankle, Total Joint Replacement, Sports Medicine (including Knee and Shoulder), Spine, Hand and Upper Extremity. The physicians work closely with key practitioners and families in an integrated fashion to provide the finest, state-of-the-art diagnostics and treatment available in orthopedics today.

“We are proud of our long history in the Danbury community,” states President and Reconstructive Knee and Shoulder Surgeon, Michael G. Brand. “We have developed incredibly rewarding relationships with so many families and organizations in the area, such as our long-standing partnership with Western Connecticut State University’s athletic department, where we work closely with the football team on injury prevention and immediate care as needed during football season. We provide the IMPACT concussion program to area high schools which implements pre-season assessments and proper evaluation should a head injury occur. And, of course, we’ve worked closely with Danbury Hospital since we began so many years ago, with the mutual goal of delivering excellent musculoskeletal care for people of all ages.”

Do you use any local businesses to operate your business?

How many people do you employ?

Over the years many young interns have also joined the practice to learn more about careers in healthcare, surgery and more broadly in medicine. The practice is proud to be an integral part of the Danbury community and region and to have helped generations of families with their orthopedic care.
