Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT iLL iNK!
Three questions with Josue Velez, owner of iLL iNK Graphic Design and Printing Studio.
Why did you start your business?
I saw an opportunity to change my life and invest my time into something I could call my own, something I could possibly pass down to my offspring. I knew my dedication and creativity would enhance not only my business but those I would eventually work with.
Finish this sentence in regard to your business. “I wish I could…”
I wish I could take my business to a level where I could offer employment and opportunity to the masses. Not only enhancing surrounding communities economically but also encouraging future entrepreneurs.
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
Though we offer products and services for personal use, the majority of our business is "business to business". We use our creative minds to enhance and empower other businesses to stand out. Whether it is with a business card, yard sign, website, etc... The better our customers do, the better we do. The mutual success goes hand in hand. We work with businesses that specialize in masonry services to tree work including "Pulla Tree services" and "Danbury Grassroots". Too many businesses to name honestly but each one of my customers makes up a vital part of my business.
