Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Still River Editions!

Four questions with Mark Savoia, founder of Still River Editions.

Why did you start your business?

There was a need for a photographic laboratory in 1987 in the Danbury area. Over the years that need has changed to art reproduction and original photography printing. We also run a gallery featuring local and national artists.

Finish this sentence in regard to your business. "I wish I could…"

I wish I could help every artist to pursue their careers and become successful.

What is your best selling product/service?

Our best selling product is our commitment to quality and service. Our most popular product is giclée prints on fine art papers or canvas.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

We use several local businesses for framing needs for our clients. Chris Durante Framing, Art & Frame, and Koenig’s Frameworks to name a few.

Still River Editions is located at 128 East Liberty Street, Suite 3 in Danbury. Visit Still River Editions online here.
