Why Small Businesses Matter

Editor's note: small businesses are being hit hard during this uncertain time. The Governor ordered nonessential businesses close on March 23. When the threat of coronavirus subsides and local shops open their doors again, we encourage you to support them by shopping locally. When you shop small, you do big things for your community.

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Integrity Motors!

Three questions with Katharine ElHayek, Office Manager at Integrity Motors.

Why did you start your business?

The owner Tony had been working for a local car dealer in their service department for many years and he wanted to have his own business where he could provide quality service at reasonable prices and still make a decent living. We are family-owned and operated, and we opened in 2012.

What is your best selling product/service?

We do general repairs for any make and model of car, van or truck. Personal service, quality work, honest prices, and a down-to-earth approach are what our customers appreciate. Tony's wife Katharine is the office manager; we wanted to make sure that women felt comfortable bringing their car to an auto repair shop. That's why we named the business "Integrity".

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

Many local auto parts wholesalers and dealers. LoStocco Auto Parts, Autozone, Autopart International, Levine Auto Parts, the Radiator Store. We also refer people to Fausto's Body Shop in New Milford for bodywork.
