Richter Association for the Arts announces fall series of outdoor concerts

Stanley L. Richter Association for the Arts is pleased to announce the beginning of its fall series of outdoor concerts at Richter House, 100 Aunt Hack Road in Danbury at 2 pm on Sunday, September 12.

The opening concert will feature the versatile Sax4Tet, a group of accomplished saxophonists with deep experience in virtually all areas, genres, and styles of musical expression. They will play a pleasing selection of patriotic songs, swing and familiar tunes.

Future outdoor concerts in the Performance Series will be held Sundays 2-3 pm on the lawn of Richter House:

  • September 19, The Catoonah Street Jazz and Blues Society
  • September 26, The Berkshire Jazz Orchestra
  • October 3, The Neil Currie Band
  • October 10, Gabriela Mikova Johnson, Stephen Paul Johnson and Kai Pangune Kim
  • October 17, Billy Michael
  • October 24, Madera Wind Quintet
  • October 31, the Roarin' Ramblers

Admission is free. Please consider a $10+ donation to help offset some of the costs of the performance. All donations graciously accepted. General parking is in the nearby golf course parking lot. Look for the shuttle service provided between the house and the parking lot, or take a leisurely walk to the house. Handicap parking available directly at the House. No parking in the narrow section of the driveway at any time. Social distancing is recommended. Individual concerts will be canceled in case of rain. Please bring your own lawn chairs.
