Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Peachwave Danbury!

Four questions with Brian Leonardi, owner of Peachwave in Danbury.

Why did you start your business?

My wife and I had been Peachwave customers for years. When the opportunity came up to purchase the business it was a no-brainer.

Peachwave has also had excellent and high-quality flavors and toppings, and we wanted to be part of that business.

What is your best-selling product/service?

It's always the froyo, but people love our store-made whipped cream. You can't buy anything like it at a grocery store.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

As a chain, we are limited in what we can procure, but we regularly use local distributors and grocery stores for toppings.

Have you "reimagined" your small business?

Fortunately, we don't have to. Our commitment to quality products and friendly service stands the test of time.

Brian would like to nominate Mill Plain Laudromat to be featured next!
